International Peace Site
On May 28, 2008 Cowern Elementary became an International Peace Site. We commemorated this event with the dedication of our Cowern Peace Garden.
As an International Peace site we have committed to the following 5 principles:
Protect the environment
Promote intercultural understanding and celebrate diversity
Seek peace within yourself and others
Reach out in service
Be a responsible citizen of the world
Our staff and students celebrate peace during monthly peace group activities.
