Parent Involvement
You can make a difference in the education of our students! Cowern has volunteer opportunities available at many different levels. If you are able to contribute weekly, monthly, or even sporadically - it all benefits our students! Here are some of the opportunities available:
MISCELLANEOUS
- Front Desk Greeter - Greet visitors/ensure student safety
Shift vacancies - Mondays noon-1:00pm
Fridays noon-1:30 & 1:30-3:00pm
- Parent & Teacher Group (PTG) - Count fundraiser earnings, attend PTG meetings
- Literacy Connection - weekly reading with KG and/or 1st grade students that need extra practice. More volunteers are needed for LC. Please consider volunteering 1 hour per week to help students improve their reading skills.
SPECIAL EVENTS/PROJECTS
Green Team
Spring is here! We are in need of parent-volunteers to help maintain the Cowern Peace Garden.
Green Team meets Friday mornings at 8:00 - 8:30am beginning in April.

CLASSROOM HELP
- Literature Circles
- Challenge Math
- Tutoring Small Groups
- Classroom Helper - Varies per teacher
- Take home projects - cutting, folding, etc.
